We are currently looking for volunteers for our Dewsbury Contact Centre who would like to make a difference by helping people in our community. We have several roles available – no voluntary experience is necessary and full training is provided.
We will require an ongoing commitment of at least one day, or two half days, each week for at least 12 months. We understand that life events may change your plans but you should be able to offer this availability when you first contact us.
Our volunteers do not receive a salary but some expenses can be repaid.
We regret that we are unable to offer work experience to students at school or college. We do not accept volunteers under the age of 18. We will only take on new volunteers who live in Kirklees – if your address is out of the area we will not contact you.

Advice Guides/Meet and Greet host
Working in our Dewsbury Contact Centre, you will greet members of the public and help them find information using a variety of sources. You will also be able to help clients access other services and provide support, for example if they are using the Better Off Kirklees site for benefit checks and applications.
